This Cake is just like the Rainbow Cake I made for St. Patrick's Day, the only difference is it is 3 layers and "Easter Colors"
Peeps are great! They come in so many colors...I bought every color and I searched for ideas for peeps, I couldn't find anything I liked. Finally I decided on the colored cake layers...it worked again!
Happy Easter!
Such a cute cake! And I love the surprise of color inside. I'd make it (and happily eat some) and I don't even like peeps.

Where is the recipe for this cake?
ReplyDeleteWhere is the recipe for this cake?
ReplyDeleteI used a regular Vanilla cake mix and divided the bowls into 3 colors and used food coloring for each layer!
ReplyDeleteEasy!!!!
My son's birthday is on easter this year and this would be the perfect birthday/Easter cake. DO I still need 2 cake mixes? And after the mix is made what are the proportions for each pan? (1c, 2.5c?)
ReplyDeleteI followed directions on back of box cake and just used 3 cake pans and divided the cake mix into 3 bowls, it does not have to be exact, just try to make all 3 bowls around the same size. Pick your 3 colors and and tint each bowl of cake mix into the color of your choice. Then pour each bowl into a cake pan and bake according to package! Happy Easter! or Happy Birthday! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHow did u get the easter colors
ReplyDeleteIf the question is about the Easter Cake colors, I use the wilton colors. The paste kind. I just use a toothpick and keep mixing and adding slowly until I like the color.
