Back To School Party

Back to School Time!
Tonight was our last day of Summer, so it meant a get together for my daughter and her friends!
It was fast and easy (thanks to Pinterest!)
The banner was brown paper bags with chalk and I found some free printables for cake banner and pencils, keep reading for link….

free printable  found HERE…Thank you Celebration Shoppe!!!
For the table, I used their school colors, blue and gold.  I used my Silhouette machine to make monograms, speaking of monograms, I made them all monograms for their computers and folders!
If you are interested, please email me for info and price
this is a classic, easy and inexpensive, Dollar Store vase and pencils, I used a rubber band  to keep in place and tied a bow around rubber band (this way we can use pencils after party!)

Here is a list of tips for Back to school, I laminated these and sent them home with their monograms
The Back to school cake doubled as a Birthday Cake…Happy Birthday Laura!

Happy Back to School Everyone!

Hooray For Brina!

Lots of reasons to celebrate!
Hooray for Brina!
My daughter is always a reason for a family party, this time we are celebrating her grades, and some personal goals she has made with her favorite sport, Water Polo.

This family party was super easy to throw together thanks to a super talented blogger Oh Joy!. I had to support her, her products have landed in Target! Hooray for her! They are super cute, fun and really reasonably priced!
A rose cake with Aqua flowers....
click here(Target) for more info on buying some great products, either online or at your local store!
I used the glasses for vases, and the cake topper is my favorite! Hooray for Oh Joy!

Thank You Oh Joy! for helping make our special night even more fun with your amazing party goods!

Instagram Birthday Party

This was truly an "insta-party"...thrown together last minute! My Daughter's birthday is Valentine's Day, but we decided to have a few of her friends over after school the day before her birthday. I originally saw this idea HERE, and have to give credit to AndersRuff  for the perfect Instagram party with incredible printables. They did a perfect job! I really didn't have time to get the printables, so I threw this together!
14 Likes for her 14th Birthday!
The cake is a store bought cake.... I  just added an entire jar of sprinkles to the top!
Insta cookies!
Insta-grams...get it?!!!
Click here for instructions...But, super easy...dip top of graham crackers in chocolate, use rainbow "extreme" candies and Mini Oreos as camera lenses!
Little Debbie's Valentine Hearts are always a  crowd fav!
The Photo props are from Target!
An Insta-find....

The table cloth is 3 plastic table cloths
I will say, this took the most time of all!

I just "winged it" and cut and gathered!
I loved it, but the girls never even noticed!!!!
Instagram was the theme so we had a Instagram Scavenger Hunt!

I like to keep everyone busy...especially a group of teen girls! No time for gossip is a must! I had a lot of things planned...first thing we did was games with conversation hearts!
First game was how many hearts can you stack in a minute

CONVERSATION HEART STACK

How to play: Players get one minute to see how many hearts they can stack up. It’s ok to make multiple stacks. The highest stack wins.
2nd game was:

CONVERSATION HEART STRAW GAME

How to play: Players get one minute to see how many hearts they can transfer onto the heart by sucking through the straw. The player with the most hearts on her paper heart at the end of one minute wins!

3rd game was:

CONVERSATION HEART RACE

How to play: Players each get a spoon and 3 minutes to see how many hearts they can transfer into A plastic cup that was placed on floor across the room.  Players can NOT use their hands at all in this game. The spoon goes in their mouth and they may carry as many hearts as they want on the spoon. The player who gets the most hearts in their cup at the end of 3 minutes wins.

BTW this game was super messy...don't think I would ever do this again!
How cool are these girls?
They all have skateboards!

Happy Birthday Sabrina.... My Valentine!

Owl Party

Ever Never Again had this adorable Owl Party!
I Love it!!!!
Her Cake is adorable with a cute Cake Pop Owl on top...and her blog made me laugh when she describes making cake pops as "time-consuming little boogers"...I totally agree, I have been looking at on of the Cake Pop Makers little Machines you see at Target, Kohls, etc...My first attempt at cake pops was a disaster!
cake pop owls are too cute...
She made the invitation "Who's Turning 1?"

adorable balloons
cupcake toppers from Hobby Lobby, they are buttons !

Great Job
