Cool Girl=Cool Brownies!

Our "Cool" friend Liisa's birthday party is today!
Happy Birthday Liisa...these are made with love for you!

p.s. Brownie Baking Tip:
line pan with parchment paper before baking, you don't need to grease the pans and easy to lift them out to cut and decorate!
p.s.s. the skulls and crossbones are made with the pre made fondant at Michaels (very easy) and the edible marker is what the super cute faces and bows are drawn on with.

Lunch Survey

This is so much fun....
I saw this idea on Family Fun website click here for a Lunch Survey that is printable.
I used the idea and customized it for my daughter.
This is a big hit in the lunch room, her friends think it's cool as well!

Time for a "New Year" Party

Sabrina made this great poster....
I used brown bags and made clocks with the time to open....9 p.m., 10 p.m., 11 p.m., and midnight
4 Candles to light throughout the night....
9 p.m. time to start the festivities....

First we looked back at favorite photos from 2008.  Then I brought out the box pictured here, which we are going to save  mementos throughout 2009.
Some ideas are movie stubs, pictures, etc.  Next year on New Year's Eve we will look through our Memory Box.

Ten O'clock...Fondue time!

Eleven O'Clock...our favorite thing....
Our Blessing Jar.
This was our third year, we write "blessings" throughout the year. We write about the little things we are thankful for and put them into our blessing jar.  It is so much fun to read through them and enjoy our past memories together.

This was something new, I downloaded this from Family Fun Magazine,  it was just some fun things to look forward to in the new year.

Midnight!!!!
We had ginger ale in champagne glasses!
Then we had small fireworks, and sparklers...
Happy 2009!!!!!

Outtakes and Bloopers

My husband doesn't know how to behave with a lighter!  He always adds some fun to any party....you better have a good sense of humor around our house!
(It probably isn't a good idea to light your daughter's tiara on fire!)
